This summer Latitude 45 is very excited to offer a junior cycling program for girls and boys entering 6th or 7th grade. Our program will be ideal for youth who are interested in mountain biking, the outdoors, and mindfulness. We will develop balance on the bike, within ourselves, and with eachother.
During our eight meetings we will ride many of the area's best trails, develop our riding skills, and learn basic maintenance. Additionally our mindfulness exercises and community building activities will help us to be our best for ourselves and each other. At the end of the program we will all have learned valuable skills to maintain our physical and mental health.
- Participants must be entering 6th or 7th grade
- Offroad riding experience is not required, just a willingness to try
- Have a mountain bike in good working order (or rent from Latitude 45)
- Commit to attending at least 6 of 8 sessions
- Be respectful and supportive
- Wear a helmet and shoes, bring a water bottle
